Prior to 1964 while living in Fresno, CA with his family, the Lord gave a vision to our Foundering Pastor, John S. Doyle to begin a church in Sacramento, CA. In pursuant to doing God’s will, John and his wife Mossie, along with their 5 children moved to Sacramento. Gospel Center officially began on the second Sunday of March 1970 with 13 families.
The pioneering days of Gospel Center began with daily prayer services, shut-ins and consecrations leading to souls being healed, delivered and set free. The Spirit of the Lord moved in a mighty way and Gospel Center became known as the “After Hours” church. The church was open after others closed. Gospel Center began and continues to be a church committed to glorifying God according to Matthew 28:19.
For over 40 years our church has been in existence to serve people through relationships with love, faith and fellowship.
